This war is being carried out by something called Radical Islam, of which the al-Qaida terrorist network is only one small branch...

This, I repeat, was (and to a significant extent still is), the respectable interpretation of the meaning of 9/11. When anyone questioned the evidence for this view, Very Serious Politicians like Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice would say things like "we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud."

Meanwhile, Very Serious Opinion Makers like Charles Krauthammer of The Washington Post argued (and continue to argue) that America must also go to war against Iran because we could wake up one day to the news that nuclear weapons have been detonated in several American cities, by order of suicidal mullahs who turned over their soon-to-be- acquired nuclear arsenal to the vast shadowy global jihadist network.

That the respectable interpretation of 9/11 remains respectable in so many important places should not obscure the fact that it is a paranoid fantasy of the first order - one as utterly unhinged from reality as the most extravagant imaginings of the 9/11 Truthers...

3. 9/11 conspiracy theories

The simplest of the 9/11 conspiracy theories, that there was enough intelligence to have announced a warning and stepped up security at airports but instead the Bush administration did nothing to impede the attacks because their PNAC saturated administration needed a “new Pearl Harbor” to advance the radical PNAC agenda has not been discredited.

In the first week of July, 2001 President Bush attended the G-8 meeting in Genoa Italy. Never before had anti-aircraft defenses been deployed to a G-8 meeting. American anti-aircraft missile batteries were deployed to Genoa for the meeting.

Not enough? During the meeting President Bush was flown out to an American aircraft carrier surrounded by its attack group to sleep. An American aircraft carrier attack group is the most powerful anti-aircraft system on planet Earth. Not enough?

In the first week of August, 2001 Attorney General John Ashcroft stopped flying on commercial airlines because of an undisclosed “threat assessment.”

There WAS that little matter involving john ashcroft and the warning not to fly commercial that summer, wasn't there? I think Willie Brown of San Francisco got a similar warning - if I remember correctly. I seem to recall that a handful of people later said they'd been given the same sort of warning.

Coincidence?

Considering everything I know about these people, and their track record, and their tendency not to rule ANYTHING out as far as tactics and hardball-playing and the worst of sneaky-ass, cutthroat, underhanded behavior, I'd say not so much.

7. Dr Mengele....

When Dick Cheney read the intelligence reports no doubt he realized a terrorist attack would result in such shock that the American people would support anything the Bush Administration responded with. Including the lie that the Taliban was hiding Osama bin Laden to justify an attack on Afghanistan and the lie the Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and had somehow planned 9/11 along with Osama bin Laden.

Part of the truth is to be found within the lies told about Enron the truths of which are now only being looked at. It was quite solvent. Someone just wanted to make it appear to be insolvent. Enron planned to build a pipeline in Afghanistan and Pakistan and India that would transport oil and gas from Russia to a port in India and of course there was the even bigger prize of the existing pipeline in Iraq that originally transported oil to Haifa through Syria. Connecting that pipeline into existing pipelines in Iran and then the pipeline in Afghanistan and Pakistan and you would have control of probably the largest reserves of oil and gas in the world and the ability to bypass the Persian Gulf and the threat of another embargo by the Persian Gulf states including Saudi Arabia.

When Enron filed for bankruptcy, the "transition team" quickly sold off assets. One of those assets was the pipeline group that is now drilling for oil in South Dakota. And suddenly what was considered a marginal asset of Enron is now worth billions.

Dr. Mengele read the intelligence reports and probably called Kennebunkport and then whispered in his Boy from Brazil's ear "Let's go for it" and then chuckled to himself.

They probably never thought it would be anything more than just hijackings. And probably were quite horrified along with the rest of us when it turned out to be more than just hijackings.

No warnings were issued to the airlines. Two airliners went off course and began to head south instead of continuing west and flew along the Hudson River towards Manhattan without raising any alarms at the FAA. Fighters were dispatched only after the first plane had flown into the North Tower at the World Trade Center and the second plane was ten minutes away from the South Tower at the World Trade Center.

That more than anything indicates that it was a very controlled situation. That quite a few knew. And quite a few conspired along with Dr. Mengele and his Boy from Brazil.

It was their Reichstag. And so began their war on terror. A cover for what really has become the first war for oil.

So many snakes. So many snakecharmers. So many conspiracies at work.

Four years later the Riggs Bank investigation was focused on the matter of Princess Haifa funneling money to a California couple, described at one point as a "poor Saudi family," who in turn redeposited the money into two accounts set up at Riggs Bank for two of the hijackers by this same couple.

When the investigation focused too closely on Princess Haifa she and Prince Bandar returned to Saudi Arabia on "urgent family business" which obviously was simply removing Princess Haifa from investigators and of course subpeonas. To protect the Saud family.

The bin Laden family was protected as well. According to the late Pierre Salinger, the bin Laden family in Boston was put on a plane that very night and flown to London. From the same airport where earlier that day the two planes that flew into the World Trade Center had departed. Among the family members who were put on the plane were two sons-in-law who had been convicted of terrorism in Jordan. The story changed and still changes. But quite a few Saudis were flown out of the country. Never questioned. Just put on planes and flown out of the country.

One of the Riggs Bank directors was Jonathan Bush. The brother of George HW Bush. In the 1920s a bank was used by Prescott Bush to funnel money through Fritz Thyssen which was used to finance the Nazi Party and which continued to finance it throughout most of World War II. And all these years later, another bank was used by someone, possibly a Bush, to funnel money through a "poor Saudi family" through the wife of the Saudi ambassador who in turn financed the terrorists who hijacked four planes on 9/11. And when too many questions were asked, she was flown out of the country as well. Prince Bandar has returned many times. But not Princes Haifa. Friends of the Bushes. Almost all of them enemies of the American people.

The treason involved in the matter is worse than the war crimes committed. And yet Congress still will not go there. Just as it would not go there with Prescott Bush. And would not go there with George HW Bush. The Empress serves her Emperor. And like the Clintons she no doubt will find it quite lucrative. Bill Clinton of course quashed the investigations into BCCI which some suspect was tied into Riggs Bank.

A picture is worth a thousand words. And there are probably thousands of pictures at this point of Bill Clinton and George HW Bush.

Our greatest threat is not Osama bin Laden. Our greatest threat is the Bush family. And it is a threat that will not leave as George W Bush leaves the White House in January.

Prescott Bush intended to overthrow our government. For all intents and purposes, his grandson has managed to.

We no longer live in a democracy. Anyone who thinks we do is delusional.

Our only hope is Barack Obama. But even he will not be able to hold the Bushes accountable. Or the Clintons.

I keep going back to Madeline Albright's infamous comment about how the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children were worth it.

She was referring to the "millions of lives for billions of barrels" policy of the Bushes. And of Dick Cheney. And of Halliburton.

Such evil. No other word for it.

Millions of dollars in suspicious trading in DeutchesBank, some insurance companies and airlines up to a week before 9-11 were reliably reported...

I never heard of any follow up, however.
