Seattle P-I: " Veterans decry proposal to close VA hospital"

"We are upset. All veterans are upset," said Ron Fry, state commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U.S. Army Special Forces for 17 years. "Everybody says there's a decrease in the number of World War II veterans and they seem to think it's OK to reduce services. However, when you look at all the other wars, there's still a lot of veterans out there."

"Our government is asking these young people -- men and women -- to join up and come fight for our country, but if you get wounded, we might not have a vets hospital for you," said Phil Clifton, 74, a U.S. Army veteran who served in Japan following World War II."

This is sickening and this is just one hospital in my area--Washington State--expect this is happening in a hell of a lot more places.

More 'thanks'<sarcasm off> and "fuck you" from this slime's administration.

To all Veterans I say THANK YOU and I will continue to speak out for you to my elected officials and neighbors and friends. This is absolutely disgusting.

is the only health care I have. I'm really sorry to hear about the one at Walla Walla. When you're used up the repugs would just as soon throw you away.
