Hugh Calderwood: Palin an exciting choice
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 10:58 AM by bushmeat
Mr. Calderwood, Sarah Palin is hardly (and never will be) historical.

~snip~

She has two years of day to day decision making, on the job training, in running a state verses their candidate’s 145 days on the Senate floor rubbing elbows with the Washington elites. He has been Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for two years and has yet to hold a meeting.

In the second camp are those Democrats that realize that her selection has energized and electrified the Republican base just as their candidate has done for them. They are afraid of that so they claim that McCain selected her to capture the disenfranchised Hillary voters. This is a big mistake. McCain was looking for a similar maverick that would rally the conservatives and appeal to hard working middle class independents, including soccer moms. She appeals to those middle class independents who can relate to her life story of standing up to the entrenched elites and fighting corruption. She walks the walk when it comes to real change.

Her brief exposure on the national stage has been all that McCain could have hoped for. She is authentic and articulate. Do I see a movie remake, “Mrs. Palin Goes To Washington.”?

I predict that the vice presidential debate on October 2nd will have the largest national audience in history for this debate. Isn’t watching history great?

~snip~

Yes, watching history is great, this reminds me specifically of events like Gen. Andrew Jackson crushing the British in the War of 1812.

1. "Isn't watching history great?"
Only when it's positive, not when it's scary. What an asshat.

3. She has 18 months of day to day. The two years that the Repubs
like to float is sort of like Bristol's pregnancy "about" five months. Can we expect another premature birth?
