Yep, it's a sight to behold-last seen in places like Red Square and the Reich Chancellory--the RW up in Saint Paul, Minnesota with false patriotism (Country First!), lots of flags, militarism (bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb bomb Iran) the myths and lies...but most of all the expressions of HATRED.

1. I think Robert Parry also has that 'sinking feeling' that the country has stepped over the line.

2. damn...don't scare me like that...
"What’s less clear about the GOP convention is whether the Republicans are on to something, that perhaps the United States has crossed over into a post-rational society that cares little about facts and reality or serious policy ideas and respectful debate, but rather is a nation moved by anger and ridicule, fear and nationalism."

the only good thing I can think of about that statement is I have moved to Detroit and am near the Canadian border and maybe I can slip in as a political refugee if need be???

5. Where do ya think
Flush Limberger and Falafel O'Lies listeners come from? They call in protesting, in that signature redneck whine " It just ain't right!!!!"
I've worked with several of these freaks, and they hold on to anger and fear like a nun's rosary. Some are self aware enough to realise that they are sick - but they are scared to death of the cure.
