It may be, I suppose, that the authorities want to make potential terrorists fear a strong likelihood of being randomly searched, but if so, why have they been denying that they imposed such inordinate target numbers?

In any case, if our civil liberties are so throughly prejudiced, not to say, sacrificed by the war crimes of Blair and his cronies initiated on the basis of lies, surely the most obvious remedy is to cease creating terrorists by invading their countries.

Anyway, I'm glad our police tend not to be mindless myrmidons terrorising, and tasering anyone who looks the wrong way at them. I can't think of much else about this country that doesn't fill me with shame, but we must be grateful for small mercies.
