CBS - Sarah Palin Phenomenon is doomed.
Edited on Mon Sep-15-08 01:32 PM by TxBlue
From CBS Marketwatch:

The Sarah Palin Phenomenon is doomed.

But it's not because of her lack of foreign policy experience or her deer-in-the-headlights look during part of her interview last week with ABC's Charles Gibson.

The primary reason why the Palin bubble will burst is that the media will decide that they are bored with her. They'll need to move to shine a light on a fresh issue or individual.

This is how the world works in the age of 24/7 news cycles. Whether the subject is Britney Spears, Michael Jordan or Sarah Palin, we inevitably raise stars to mythic levels, out of all reasonable proportions. Then we knock them down.

3. This guy thinks the media rules everything, but in this case, she IS going down
because there is nothing there. She is a hockey mom and a Pentecostal crazy. Not presidential material.

4. nah, they've already decided they can't stand her
they're like a bulldog, except without lipstick.

Poor Sarah. If Boobie "Moose-hair" McNipples was smarter I'd feel bad for her, just like I'd feel bad about escargot, if they were smarter.

11. Well, she did insult them in her first big speech

And since then, she's granted an audience interviews to - Charlie Palin and Sean freaking Hannity.

They won't take this for much longer.

If this lasts much longer they'll go all Al Gore on her ass.

6. They might get bored with her, but Murdoch and his ilk are paying their

8. Please don't
Democrats can't vote when they're dead, they might even cast a vote for McCain for you.

9. I don't think we need to worry
- it would take the media "shining a light on an issue" for it to happen.

12. that's the thing.
they said obama was just a 'celebrity', as if.... but his popularity with voters isn't about his message of 'hope' as much as it is about his authenticity and there being a 'there' there. he is not just a pretty face.... if he had only been a speech and a good looker, he would have never gotten this far in his life. and he wouldn't have gotten this far in the race. period. the mccain campaign seems to be banking on riding palin's present popularity with the media and the electorate all the way until november. that's why they keep her away from the media. the more she goes out there like the abc interview, the more that new car smell is going to dissipate as people see palin and that she just isn't what she is being painted as by mccain.

Why is Palin's leg purple?
McCain's been clinging to it so tightly he cut off circulation.

Why doesn't McCain need sunscreen?
Because he's under Palin's huge motherly shadow.

What is the difference between McCain and Palin's baby?
Nothing really, except McCain only needs to be changed once a day. (boo hiss)
