What is called Black History Month might be more accurately called “the sins of white people month,” which are put front and center each February. As for myself, I celebrated Black History Month by not caring.

What there needs to be for historical equality to exist is an official White History Month. I suggest the month of July. It’s a nice, long 31-day month right in the middle of summer, named after the famous white man, Julius Caesar.

I do understand that a white history month would be an agonizing month for black Americans and empathetic white liberals. So be it. They can suffer through July the way I suffer through February.

He's been an extremely vocal ignoramous in the Fox Valley area for at least 20 years ... I think the P-G prints his stuff mostly for comic relief because his opinions are so far out there, that nobody in their right mind could take him seriously.

2. I'd love to have this answered... What would constitute "white" anything?

If you want "WET" in response to BET, what would your programming consist of?

If you want "White History Month," which historic moments would you celebrate?

Truth is, here in St. Paul, we have a station on our local cable network that is dedicated to Germans and Germanic culture, yet I don't see Blacks complaining about it, or cried of racism.

Worried about Black beauty contests for women? We have Ms. Shamrock contests for young Irish ladies. Ms. Italian-American contests, and so on and so forth.

We have scholarship programs for certian ethnic Europeans, Religious based scholarships, etc.

My whole point is that people have to stop looking at "Black" as a skin color, and start looking at it as a culture.

4. Someone ought to REALLY piss him off....

....and tell him about March (Women's History Month), May (Cinco de Mayo as well as Asian/Pacific Islander History Month), September (Hispanic Heritage Month) and November (Native American Heritage Month).

Plus the Italians have Columbus Day, the Irish St. Pat's.

To be perfectly honest, this kind of drivel doesn't surprise me at all. It is a frequent topic around MLK day through February on Right-Wing hate radio....whine whine whine, "white men as victims," give me a break.:puke:

These are the same kind of people talking about the "superiority" of White European Civilization. If it's so superior, why are you threatened by people wanting others to learn about someone else's culture one month out of the year?
