E-Voting Machines Used in Disputed Franken, Coleman Race Failed Tests

(The Intelligence Daily) -- Electronic voting machines that a Michigan election official said last week incorrectly tabulated vote counts during pre-election tests in the state were used in Minnesota where the senate race between Republican incumbent Norm Coleman and Democratic challenger Al Franken is in dispute.

1. How the hell do are they going to do the legally mandated recount then?
since the e-voting machines don't leave paper trails ... anyone?

They will count these manually.

Too bad we don't know which one the 15% of independants liked.

Is VerifiedVoting.org wrong? It says it's entirely paper ballot

10. A lot of 'anti-Touch Screen DRE' activists fail to mention optical scan is electronic counting.
And optical scan is what happens to most 'paper ballots'.

In this case, there was a recount trigger. And the recount will be done by hand (not by machine like in FL, and elsewhere). That doesn't always happen.

9. Well, there's the problem...they tested them.
No tests...no problems. Given the apparent state of their product development process, I'm surprised this was on the checklist.
