For those interested in what is going on in Alaska's election
This a small article about the "fishiness" of the election results so far up here in Alaska. Interesting.

1. I've been pleasantly surprised
that the local media has acknowledged this, not only ADN but KTUU, as well. They had Shannyn on Wednesday or Thursday night, I believe, to talk about all this.

2. I was at Ivan's house last night for a fundraiser for
Sheila's run for Mayor. He was talking about how he was a bit perplexed at the outcome considering the nature of this election. We'll see where it goes from here.

on the news tonight saying the Alaska Democrats must have just decided to stay home in large numbers because Obama had the win and they knew the Republicans would take Alaska anyway? Or maybe they were just afraid they were going to have to wait in long lines? How insulting. Democrats in the Lower 48 will stand in line for six hours, but Alaska's Democrats are just too delicate to endure such an ordeal?? Where was he in February when people were waiting in 0 degrees to get into the caucus?

Puh-leeze. I'm so sick of these Republicans in this state. I hope we destroy Sarah over the next couple of years.

4. I wonder if realizes that he doesn't make sense.
Why would Alaskan Democrats stay home after Ted was convicted and Young was being investigated. Makes no sense. This would be the time to see them come out in droves knowing this would be the time to stick a fork in them.

5. Very interested. Thank you...
<snip>

Even conservatives appeared to be short counted, Moore said. The latest tally showed that the McCain-Palin ticket had almost 55,000 fewer votes than Bush-Cheney in 2004, she said.

I don't know about short counted. Maybe in this case the DID just not vote.
