Halperin Whines About Press Bias For Obama

Why is Mark Halperin even a member of the Press Corps, much less employed by the NY Times? He whines this time about press bias towards Obama, and that it failed as badly as it did before the Iraq War. That seems to presume electing Obama is as big a disaster, and that’s nuts right there. Halperin’s exemplar is even more nuts.

The media promoted two divergent views of two different candidates ...

The two candidates provided TWO separate worldviews as they campaigned;

ONE candidate promoted a POSITIVE worldview based on inclusion ...

The other provides a SLASH AND BURN campaign message that tore down America, trying to impugn half the population as 'not america', and to marginalize the citizenry to an ugly narrow minded hateful view ....

When Obama was covered: It promoted HIS positive view ...

When McCain/Palin was covered : It promoted THEIR ugly negative view ....

That is EXACTLY what we would expect from such divergent viewpoints ....

What does Mark want ? .... the media to COMPOSE a positive campaign message from McCain even if he was unwilling to do so ?

I would challenge Mr. Halperin to provide a SINGLE POSITIVE MESSAGE expressed by the McCain camp .... name ONE ....

Country First ? ... My ASS ! ... The fact that the McCain camp ran an AWFUL campaign steeped in extreme negativity is the cause of their poor press coverage ... The press just repeated their campaign statements ... No wonder it sounded so awful ...

which means they reflected reality. Isn't that supposed to be their job?

The media to dress up their 'KILL THE TERRORIST' and 'HE's A NI**ER' campaign strategy ?

Geeez .... They created their own atmosphere, which was based more on their own fears than on reality .... They were steeped in their own message of hatred, and no one could plaster over that ugliness and make it pretty ....

Obama ran a classy INCLUSIVE campaign that created a 'vision' of success as a society .... His message of 'Not the red states or blue states : We are the UNITED states!' is hard to top, especially if all you have is "Kill The Terrorist" ....

never accuses anyone of lying, do they? Thus they are not biased. the people see the lies, though, without the help of the media.

Maybe the mdia did have a bias, towards the liars, at least in not explicitly exposing them.
