Yesterday’s WaPo had a column about race and black Republicans, but the article didn’t address racist incidents across the country this Fall, and the relationship to the GOP campaign. The author seeks a more inclusive Republican Party, but won’t address racism within the GOP that the election of Michael Steele as RNC Chair won’t solve.

And just an aside: the author CLAIMED to be seeking a more inclusive republican party. Very different.

2. She's self-deluded?

I think she refuses to recognize the bigot vote in her own party. She probably sincerely wants to expand the GOP appeal to African American voters, though. she just won't get there until she recognizes some fundamental problems, like inherent GOP racism.
