It seems to me that he has always been mouthpiece for the GOP and, at best, a propagandist of the Josef Goebbels variety. The moniker of "entertainer" is no doubt just another "focus group" approved word that Limbaugh and the GOP try to use to deflect criticism of their most effective spokesperson. Think of all the GOP jerkwads in the past that have missed a golden opportunity to evade responsibility by claiming they are "entertainers".

5. Exactly when he becomes

an entertainer depends on who you ask about a given issue. I've heard all too many people say, "he has some good ideas" and almost in the same breath say "well, that was just a joke...". Depending on how crazy his rants are in the ears of given listeners, they can run the gamut from policy proposals to sarcastic humor. That way he can appeal to the widest segment of the least informed Americans and at the same time present a moving target to his critics.

He's a media whore and a marketing genius.
