NPR Moves to Protect Its Brand from FoxNews
We’ve got a little spat going between NPR and FauxNews. Juan Williams, who works for both, evidently goes all right wing sometimes on Fox News, resulting in complaints to NPR. NPR is asking Fox News refrain from saying Williams is an NPr correspondent. Fox News says “Nyah, nyah” in response. Meanwhile Williams rakes in the cash.

1. Simple solution: NPR fires Juan Williams
Problem solved. They could hire Cynthia McKinney in his place, and we'd all be better off.

4. I would love to see Cynthia on NPR
but they are not called National Petroleum Radio for nothing. McKinney will be on NPR when Gregg is commerce secretary.

11. Cynthia, as the next guy down says

3. So they don't let Williams go, nor ask him to resign from FUX
They just ask FUX to quit mentioning that Williams is also on NPR. Kind of trying to hide their affiliation with a FUX talking head. That's right NPR don't fix the problem, hide it.
And why no outrage over Mara Liason? Last time I looked she was a chair or two over from Williams. And what about Cokie on ABC? ABC to me is the most RW of all, just not as blatant as FUX.
Sadly NPR is the closest to reality we have in our area. All else is way whacked out righty.

6. Oy.
Juan Williams is a sanctimonious, self-serving clown. I don't watch Fox, so I have no idea how he acts there, but on NPR he simply takes the role of being contrary to whatever you think he might be or should be thinking. He didn't support Obama. He is anti-ACORN. He dislikes the Clintons. Jessie Jackson is a jive jackass who is still riding the '60s, but African-Americans who didn't live through the '60s don't get it. yada yada yada.

Mara Laison simply provides a left-leaning voice to Fox. I disagree with nearly everything Cokie Roberts says, but at least she's consistent and provides a center-right point of view to NPR.

I do agree that NPR is the closest thing to reality. They aren't perfect, but at least they try.

8. Mara and Juan and Cokie
when they take the seats at the commercial stations they bend over backwards to show they are not libs. In short, they are dishonest.

10. They'll not do that
Not a chance they'll fire a black man because he isn't liberal enough. That would explode on them.
