SC is a state I have driven through a LOT, having trekked back and forth from NC to Atlanta a bunch.
I don't know where he gets off pretending they could do without this bill. They are in dire straits these days.
They remain one of the most visible of the American Taliban controlled states, however, and I for one would be
happy to stop subsidizing them.

It would be fun to watch Lindsey Graham eat that too. :)

every elected dem come out and say that today and tomorrow as a CHALLENGE to repubs and a reminder to the people of republican hypocrisy and greed.

3. Absolutely...

Something tells me Gov. Sanford won't take that gamble. Because for all his rhetoric about hating federal spending, he can't wait to get his hands on our money.

Almost always, the Republican senators, representatives, and governors screaming about taxes and spending are from states that receive more money back from the federal government than they have chipped into the kitty. Almost every freakin' time. The data are easy to come by (Begala cites the non-partisan group that compiles them) and should be thrown back into the faces of these yelping idiots, especially Sanford and especially Palin.

Heck, there are foreign countries whose citizens get more money from the US federal government than I do as a citizen of New Jersey. But that's for another day....
