Use of the Surplus: Governor Bush

2001-2010
Baseline Surplus - $4.6 trillion
Reserve for Social Security (personal accounts & debt reduction) - $2.4 trillion - 52%
Broad Tax Cuts - $1.3 trillion - 28%
Other Priorities & Additional Debt Reduction* - $0.9 trillion - 20%

*includes savings of $0.2 trillion from government reform

Then Republicans did everything but, except give the richest of the rich tax cuts, wonder why we are in the mess we are in?

1. no one ever explained to him that wishing doesn't necessarily make things so
Just like how our troops were this close to being greeted as liberators with flowers and dancing in the streets... if only it hadn't been for stupid old reality.
