Cross Dressing R is Who's Who of R Fund Raisers |
|
No longer need the R's fret over gay scout leaders. Here is Texas, the leading contender in a R primary run-off for state representative is not only a HUGE fund raiser for many Rs such as Joe Barton and Kay Granger, he's been outed as a cross-dresser.
The news of the cross-dressing has hit NPR and "The View". But the big story is who has Sam Walls, a very, very , very rich businessman, raised money for and how much.
BTW, the day prior to the story breaking, the Ft. Worth Star-telgram endorsed Walls.

On April 8 edition's opinion page, the Star-Telegram editorial board sticks by Walls, but makes a note there is another R on the run-off ballot. With friends like that....
And in a follow up Section B, usually reserved for regional news, the S-T has reproduced one of the pictures of Sam Walls in wig and women's clothes. An article accompanies the pic.
Two notes from today's article:
Walls campaign mgr says he cannot say if Sam Walls is "Samantha Walls", treasurer of the Alpha Omega Society, a group dedicated to cross-dressing as noted in an 2000 AOS newsletter.
And a great quote from Cleburne Mayor Thomas Hazelwood. "He can call Geo. Bush. He can call Kay Bailey Hutchinson. He has access across the board."
