|
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/04/15/opinion/15FRIE.htmlSorry, but "From Justin To Kelly" makes more sense than this tripe!

1. Ugh... do I click the link, or don't I? |
|
Tommy is an imbecile. He is a child who had a mother who constantly doted on him... made him feel 'special', no matter what the school kids said to diffuse it.
"Tommy" that's a great... I am going to use it.... because I see a kid whenever I read his stuff...a spoiled rotten kid who was told he was the very smartest in the class....uh hum... yet he is just barely average.
Nothing more dangerous than a less than smart person who thinks they are brilliant. wooooooooo
Nah, I am going to skip tommy's fantastical view of the world tonight... but thanks for posting.

2. Tommy's a real knuckle-head |

his current tripe is "There is nothing like the burden of responsibility to promote accountability" -- using Israel's unilateral withdrawal from the Gaza and Lebanon to back up his conclusion since the PA and Hezbollah have to provide government services to their respective peoples since they magically stop blaming Israel the next day for destroying them.
Of course, Tommy doesn't believe there should be a "unilateral withdrawal from Iraq" but rather put "every ounce of energy we have behind the U.N effort to replace the current Iraqi Governing Council with a legitimate, broad-based caretaker government" ... which, of course, TOTALLY CONTRADICTS the evidence he provides :eyes:
Can't the Times just give a few typewriters to some caged monkeys??? they would be cheaper than Freidman/Dowd/Brooks and the writing would be a whole lot better

3. I Actually Agree with His Main Point |
|
"There is nothing like the burden of responsibility to promote accountability."
But why is he seem to be using the phrase to taunt the PLO and Hamas? This is what they want. Yes, it will probably minimize terrorist attack by Gaza residents, just like attacks by Hezbollah have plummeted after Israel's withdrawal from Southern Lebanon. Just like attacks by Algerians stopped when France withdrew.
And when he compares Gaza to Iraq, that's true, too. Iraqis will behave differently if we end the occupation. How that somehow implies criticism of the Iraqis is beyond me.

4. Friedman wants a national identity to emerge? |
|
bullshit. National identity is the globalizers' worst enemy. If an Iraqi national identity emerges, it will likely be anti-American and Friedman will call for its destruction.
