Top Ten Republican Reasons to Dump Bush & Co

Top Ten Reasons to Dump Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Ashcroft/Wolfowitz/Perle ASAP

by a Wealthy Republican

1. They're absolutely ruining the economy. Bush started with a $5.6 trillion 10-year forecast surplus. His crew has turned that into a $3+ trillion forecast loss --- a reversal of $9 trillion in three years. (1)

2. Random dropping of nukes on countries or terrorists is part of their policy. Maybe it's not such a good idea. It might even be reckless. Pipsqueak countries are going to want to do it too, then.

3. They're getting LESS oil out of Iraq now than before the invasion.

4. Sure Halliburton and Bechtel and Carlyle and the drug companies and all are getting some sweet deals, but even with our primo donations to those rubber chicken events, the loot is not being spread around enough. They like to keep the real money close to their old cronies.

5. Even if we get on the gravy train, the Mars boondoggle won't kick in soon enough to help our quarterly profits.

6. The Bush Boys are too OBVIOUS. OF COURSE we don't give a flip what the UN or the common people think, or if they vote, or give $25 to their school board candidate. But the Bush crowd is overplaying their hand, to the point that they've tipped off everybody paying the slightest bit of attention that the voting processes are rigged. They're ruining it for us. Sure the media are good at spinning, but even they can't turn hogwash into emeralds 24/7.

7. Who planned this latest invasion anyway? Why is it costing so much? Where are the flowers that were promised? WHERE IS THE OIL? Where are they going to get more troops -- I know I don't want MY kids spending a moment of worry on a draft and getting their draft deferments.

8. It's not nearly as much fun to travel abroad anymore, what with being spat upon and all. Certainly, when the company jet is available we can avoid all that undressing and general intrusion at the airport, but still.

9. This guy is not winning any popularity contests. Globally, not only the Third World but many allies hate us -- not a good climate to sell our goods. The military is not happy. Veterans are agitated; promising college is fine, but the thousands of disabilities and depleted uranium exposure -- where exactly is the money coming from to take care of them? Scientists and career government types are up in arms, even some in the CIA; it wouldn't hurt to listen to a few facts some of the time. At least Reagan was a better actor -- come on, what's with the goat story?!?!? At least Bush could have looked more presidential in his big moment on 9-11. And his top appointees are incompetent or power-mad or both. And now it looks like the Saudi money pipeline could be exposed. For crying out loud!

10. Consumers are tired of being depressed, and they aren't spending money and being happy. How are we supposed to sell them our stuff?!?! Some are even talking about politics, and activism is increasing. We have to nip this in the bud -- get people back to being consumers, happily taking on more debt at 19%, and no more of this trouble-making and activism. It could lead to much worse, like crippling the rights of corporations, reversing media mergers, or slowing down the march of globalization. It's time to send the Bush boys out to pasture. Soon, before the jig is up.

okay, it was actually by me, not a wealthy Republican -- you knew that.

Comments? Improvements?

1. Nice list.
You know when good soldiers like Clarke and Woodward start
teeing off on the administration that fear stalks the beltway.
