other, primary research. One more way BushCo reduced research funds in a sneaky way. If agencies like NIH had not funded research with military applications, they would have been interrogated by Republicans and threatened with further cuts. Congress provides NIH with broad goals as to what funding is to accomplish and they made it clear "national security" research needed funding.

The Military has many tools in it's arsenal, such as hiding patents under National Security, the Economic Hitmen, or outright Murder.
