I have been watching David Gregory on Meet The Press every week and cannot believe how Bias the show has become, it is a insult to the great Tim Russert, they should change the name to Meet GOP General.

1. Tim Russert was not great. He was mediocre and the guest lineup was biased. He was well liked as a
person, though, amongst his fellow journalists.

2. I did not care too much for Tim Russert,
It did depend on who the guest or gust was.
I will NOT watch Dances with Roves, ever.

3. Russert was almost just as bad
Russert admitted that during the 2000 campaign he wore a Bush-Cheney campaign button behind the flap on his blazer. Timmy was nothing more than a Washington belt-boy sucking-up to the GOP power-brokers as soon as the SCOTUS elected Bush.

I'll concede that Gregory can't hide his bias as well as Timmy could.

4. Why do You Think Boeing Sponsors the Show?

'Meet the Press' is a bad joke. It is just a front for the Congressional/Military Industrial Complex.

10. Why?
By most accounts Russert was a good, decent, well-loved man, even if he wasn't much of a journalist.

15. Russert was a bush enabeling
douchbag. I can't think of him as good or decent any more that I would think Tony Snow or Cris Matthews as good decent people.

7. Meet the Press has had far more Republican guests than Democratic ones
over the years. I think Media Matters did a study dating back through to the early to mid 90s & showed it quite convincingly.

8. Tim Russert was Jack Welch's toady. I like David Gregory.
When he managed to get Bush pissed off in France during that presser with Chirac, I said "That kid's going places!"

9. MTP was always biased toward the right wingers, just like
This Week, Face the Nation, Fox, and CNN.

They've probably gotten worse since Obama took office, but they have been slanted to the right for at least 20 years.

14. Not being a Tim Russert...
...is not necessarily a bad thing, being that "Timmy" was a GOP loving, Democrat bashing, corporate whore. Imagine Timmy going after the Bush administration with the same tenacity he did going after Clinton's penis. If anything, Gregory is following in his shoes and carrying on the tradition.

16. Gregory IS Russert. That's the problem with MTP.
"If it's Sunday, it's the GOP agenda."

It might as well be Jeff Gannon hosting.

17. I don't watch the show anymore
not worth the aggravation. Greggory fluffs the Repugs while he hammers on the Dems. He allows the Repugs to say outrageous shit and he doesn't challange them. Pathetic.

18. I quit the Sunday morning "issues" shows
several years back. Their guests get copies of the questions in advance both for prep and approval. The shows kowtow to the Washington big wigs because the usual suspects just go on the competition's shows if they get pissed. The television "journalists" must kiss ass of anyone in power or they don't get the names they need for ratings.

Russert was master ass-kisser. That is why he was so "loved". Gregory learned from him. How else do you think he vaulted over all those ahead of him in line for the job?

There is no truth or journalism on Sunday morning shows.

19. None of the Sunday
political shows are fair to the progressive perspective. I start watching C-Span and get thoroughly disgusted and get more pissed off as the hours go by. We should not watch a single Sunday political show, they are all GOP.

when they needed to get a talking point out. Russert was a useful idiot.
