Diebold may face criminal investigation

The Ohio-based company's president, Walden O'Dell, sent out a
fundraising letter for President George W. Bush's re-election
campaign, saying his company was committed to "helping Ohio deliver
its electoral votes" for Mr. Bush.

And the first time the Diebold machines were used in a major election,
in Georgia in 2002, the election delivered surprise upset victories to
two Republican congressmen.

Diebold May Face Criminal Charges

SACRAMENTO, California --

After harshly chastising Diebold Election Systems for what it
considered deceptive business practices, a California voting systems
panel voted unanimously Thursday to recommend that the secretary of
state decertify an electronic touch-screen voting machine manufactured


The panel also voted to send the findings of its recent Diebold
investigation to the state's attorney general for possible criminal
and civil charges against the firm for violating state election laws.

to the possibly criminal activity of Diebold.

Diebold should be immediately ordered to cease all activity that has to do with the Nov '04 election.
Every State should be requied to return to the voting system used prior to Diebold.

Fixing the election is treasonous.

because there is not a shred of evidence, not even a hint of evidence, to support indicting him.

They even have paper to go along with the machines. It's the perception of possible conflict of interest with Diebold that should have had a red flag. Why did Diebold
get the contracts and not any other company?

They ARE steaming ahead in NY with a much publicized and moneyed lobbying effort. It's all about money here with our not too swift pols.

Whose law will stop them? After 2004 there might be no law. That is what they are going for.
