The Condensed Bob Woodward

http://slate.msn.com/id/2099277

From a friend on a UK dominated yahoogroup writes:

Want to read Bob Woodward's new book, Plan of Attack, without plowing through all 467 gossip-soaked pages? We can help! Slate has taken Woodward's tome and reduced it to a point-by-point executive summary. Grab a copy from the nearest bookstore and read along.

I wish I had either the energy or the ability - to visit all the great sites on the internet.

Congrats on a great find a Slate!

:-)

And the missing person site deserves more PR - good that it exists - sad that that it must.

3. Thanx, but I can't take the credit for this one....

a member of a mostly UK dominated yahoogroup I belong to gave me this one.

But thanx for the kind words and yes I wish the missing person site didn't have to exist,

2. It's funny but not reassuring that
the members of the Bush Administration behave just like every irritating and exasperating co-worker you've ever had to deal with in an office environment: petty, territorial, back-stabbing, food-mooching, irredeemably stupid, borderline narcoleptic, and gloriously self-important.

It's kinda like the Dilbert cartoon but this one is real and a million times more deadly,

5. some crisp moments from the article!
Tommy Franks on Douglas Feith, the Pentagon's undersecretary for policy:
"I have to deal with the fucking stupidest guy on the face of the earth almost every day."

When Karl Rove worries about the perception in the media that he's meddling in foreign affairs, Bush says: "Don't worry about it. Condi's territorial. She's a woman."

At a Pentagon briefing, staffers lay out peppermint candy for each attendee. Bush scarfs down his peppermint, and then begins to eye Bill Cohen's treat, which the former secretary gladly relinquishes. Gen. Hugh Shelton, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, "noticed Bush eyeing his mint, so he passed it over."

man! what a bunch of lunatics!!!
