Excerpt follows, but you will want to see the videos. Eric Cantor, 'great white hope' of the GOP can't answer a question with a straight answer and there are a couple of videos here to prove it.(snip here about Lynn Jenkins saying the GOP is searching for a "great white hope" and named Eric Cantor)
Now the GOP's 'great white hope,' Eric Cantor, is contending that the stimulus bill hasn't worked. He believes that the money from the stimulus that is designed to repair the economy over the next couple of years should instead be used to pay back part of the U.S. deficit, claiming that the stimulus hasn't helped the economy. Cantor ignored the reports from the Wall Street Journal that says the stimulus is helping the U.S. climb out of the recession. He has ignored the rising stock market and other hopeful signs in the economy to make a tenative pitch perhaps, against President Obama.

This wasn't the first time Eric Cantor has made a fool of himself in public. Cantor can't answer a question with a straight answer. He couldn't tell Chris Matthews whether or not he would vote to go to war with Iran, and in fact, said it should be up to the military.

Eric Cantor, the 'great white hope' of the Republicans won't answer a question with a real answer. After his disastrous interviews with actual journalists who dared to ask him questions, he has all but quit doing interviews with main stream media.
If Eric Cantor is the 'great white hope' meant to go up against Barack Obama in 2012 for the White House, the Republican party is in critical condition and needs intensive care. Cantor wouldn't be able to debate Sarah Palin, much less Barack Obama.
