How will Hillary Clinton, State Department respond to obscene behavior at US Embassy?
Excerpt:

Why does it take photos like the one above and the numerous others that the Project for Government Oversight sent to Gawker and Mother Jones to compel any real action by the U.S. State Department?

The security guards at the U.S. Embassy hired to protect Embassy officials and staff in Kabul, Afghanistan were contracted through the ArmourGroup North America, a division of Wackenhut. They are not U.S. military personnel.

A POGO spokeswoman said that the State Department can't be relied upon to remedy the problem.

(see video by clicking link above)

On Thursday, September 3, 2009, POGO reported that one of the AGNA whistleblowers has been forced to resign. The forced resignation follows an ongoing pattern at the Kabul Embassy. Employees of AGNA who didn't want to participate in the flagrantly obscene activities at the Embassy were demoted, forced to resign or fired.

POGO may have a point about the State Department's reluctance to address the problems at the Embassy in Kabul. The only response from the State Department came from a news conference held by spokesman Ian Kelly who told reporters that Secretary Clinton has ordered an investigation in to the allegations of the guards at the Embassy but we're still waiting to hear from Secretary Clinton herself. The reports of problems coming out of the Embassy in Kabul started as early as 2007. Apparently pictures really do speak louder than words.

3. Will they? In June, the State Dept told Congress these guys were sound
and Congress renewed the contract on the basis of that. These problems have been going on since 2007 and repeatedly reported. The State Dept has sent numerous warnings but never did anything until these photos came out and *now* Clinton says she will investigate. Finally. Except wait, the investigations have been going on for two years. So Clinton needs to take some serious action.
I believe the reason the right wing isn't reporting on this is because they know it was a Bush era 'let's hire all private contractors' instead of the military problem.

2. If it were me, I'd be scheduling a trip in order to "investigate" further.
Wonder if I'll have a problem getting those assless chaps and the toy bag through customs.
