Bad behavior can be embodied in Michael Vick and dog fighting and torture of the animals, and it can be embodied in the racists sentiments of a teacher towards the very kids she teaches. Echoing Charles Barkley, it is our responsibility as parents to guide our kids in choosing which athletes, or even teachers, to use as role models.

and how kids look up to them (or shouldn't in some cases) I think Vick is a fine choice for the author in this case considering that Hitler doesn't currently play in the NFL. Nor does Stalin, etc.

Many sports figures, especially those from the islands, promote/provide health care for the indigent and support, and are active in, many humanitarian causes.

I'm not at all a sports fan, but I do recognize that many are grateful for their opportunities and have given back to the community.

Vick's only contribution has been mandated Community Service, and at that he would have done more good picking up trash along the highways.
