4. I agree. It's just interesting how the Swiss looked the other way with Tax cheaters at UBS and only
got involved after enormous pressure from our Government. Polanski has spent a lot of time in Switaerland over the last 30 yrs and even owns a home there. Some are saying this is a gesture to curry some favor with US on the tax issue.

He doesn't deserve special treatment because he makes profitable movies.

3. The Ruling Elites in this Country must have paid the Swiss off?
The ruling elites need to keep the American People busy on "bread and circuses" lest they actually PAY ATTENTION to the continued redistribution of wealth to the upper 1%. :(

5. Tax cheaters make off with $345 Billion each year - IRS estimates
http://www.newsdaily.com/stories/tre58d3a9-us-ubs-tax-evasion/

"The IRS began the program in March, part of an agency-wide focus on catching tax dodgers, to help make a dent in the $345 billion tax gap -- the amount the agency estimates goes uncollected each year."

IF we collected all the taxes owed us - over ten years this would pay for the Kennedy Health Care reform bill twice with $80 billion left over!

6. You are certainly jumping the gun
There has been no decision by the Swiss concerning extradition. And there will not be for quite some time.

7. Swiss Are Very Sensitive Now About US Relations
It is no accident that the Swiss cooperated with US authorities at this time. They are very dependent upon their banking industry, and want to do what they can to improve US relations to reduce the harm of US pressure on their economy and their bigwigs.

I also heard some more details about Polanski's crime - it was more much heinous than I had realized.
