I had a friend who was in the army for a short stint in the early 60s. He was awakened in his bunk one night by 6 or so guys who gagged and hog tied him. He was in a shack somewhere for several days as they interogated him, claiming he was a Red Chinese spy. Something they gave him made him halucinate. Years later, when he did his first voluntary trip, he realized what the army had given him. He said toward the end of his "captivity", he started believing that he may have been a Chinese spy without realizing it. They discharged him within a week after the experience.
