Voting Rights Case In Columbia County (Upstate NY)
This nonsense is taking place in the 20th District of New York, the same battleground where Rep. Scott Murphy (D) won a hotly contested race over the Republican James Tedisco for the seat vacated by Kirsten Gillibrand. The Democrats have some crackerjack attorneys on their team, and I'm hopeful that the courts will affirm the right of second-home owners to vote at the residence of their choice. The Republicans have spent an enormous amount of time, money, and political capital on this issue because Columbia County has turned purple, and is slipping from their grasp after decades of GOP dominance. Please leave a comment on the site if you are so inclined. There is a hilarious one authored by "Amherst Guy." You'll find it under the "discuss" tab.
