Video: Transportation Secretary Ray Lahood says TARP making a difference
Here is an excerpt. The full article has Lahood talking with Jon Stewart on the Daily Show.

The U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Ray Lahood, a Republican member of President Obama's cabinet was interviewed by Jon Stewart on the Daily Show two nights ago. Lahood told his host that 70% of the $48 billion given to the Department of Transportation under TARP is "out the door" and he has seen people who were on welfare get jobs because of the work the DOT (Department of Transportation) is doing.

High speed rail is being upgraded in the south and the west and along the northeast corridor. It's a good start toward rebuilding the nation's railroad transportation.
