Capitulate and lose the left and center
Good article of Huffington Post. Obama should read this like a mantra at least once a day until the message becomes second nature

1. Proud to be the first K&R
Obama should read & heed - unfortunately, I think it's going to be a long 3 more years.

3. this is true

the president has managed to turn a base of new and progressive voters he himself energized like no one else could in 2008 into the likely stay-at-home voters of 2010, souring an entire generation of young people to the political process. It isn't hard for them to see that the winners seem to be the same no matter who the voters select (Wall Street, big oil, big Pharma, the insurance industry).

this is what Obama has done. he has squandered the opportunity to create a long-term democratic majority.

if he has any sense he will correct his course this next year. otherwise, he can rely on conservative democrats and that's it.

moderates and liberals are tired of the DLC shit we're supposed to eat.

4. Dems are always worried about looking weak, but not standing up for your core values is the easiest
way to look like a wimp.

That is why not just the GOP, but the corrupt and dickless DLCers feared Howard Dean in 2004. Not because he was an uber-lefty, but because he clearly was not a corporate stooge.

5. Sadly, I agree with this piece.
Obama does appear thus far to be a colossal wuss boy.

6. Dean/Kucinich in 2012
This was a very good article. It pretty much described what I have been observing. It's very disheartening.
