As far as I can tell, the 911 truthers say that the planes did fly into the towers, but the towers would not have collapsed the way they did from just plane crashes.

BTW, the official story was that the towers pancaked down, despite the fact that no similar towers have been destroyed by fire before and since.

And if you want to see what true pancaking looks like, just look at your TV and see what resulted from buildings that pancaked. Where are the huge, billowing clouds of pulverized concrete?

I bet no-one will provide an answer.

Some say the planes were holograms or cartoons, some say the planes were military planes. The reason no one listens to these kooks is because they are all over the place. They do not have one theory that coalesces with facts on the ground.

What similar towers? It was the tallest (at the time) occupied structure in the world, built like a house of cards. What direction did you expect it to fall, sideways?

If they told me the sun is shining, I'd look for my raincoat. I agree many of the truthers are beyond the fringe wackos. But I also believe that something's REAL fishy about the 'official" version and needs to be investigated fully for the truth to come out. In that way, I guess I'm a "truther'..because I want the truth, and we ain't got it yet, and probably never will. And I think that the blatant lies that the powers that be ( and been) have spread about assassinations, from JFK on, 9-11, etc, and the covering up of what really did happen, have set up the "conspiracy theorist" industry precisely because the hiding of the truth has forced speculation that sometimes will inevitably go off on the wacko fringe end of things...

As my right-wing brother-in-law, an ardent Cheney supporter and very Christian dude explained. ..(He should know..he reads the fire fighter's magazine AND he is a former fire-fighter himself!..Which makes him an expert according to my sister)...

After that explanation I finely realized that I have been so badly mistaken in thinking that the 9-11 story was full of holes and that our government would ever lie to us.
I am sure Bush and the secret service had some kind of a secret hand sign if he had wanted them to come and move him out of the line of the approaching airplane that could have been full of "tarrists" and the only reason that man walked up to the Commander-in-Chief of our military and defense and told him we were under attack and then turned away without waiting for orders.....was he already KNEW Bush bush was a kind and thoughtful man who didn't want to scare any little kids. :)
