Tea-party "movement"? movement THIS: 13% of voters say they are part of the FauxNews synthetic
movement.

Only 13 percent of American voters say they are part of the Tea Party movement, a group that has more women than men; is mainly white and Republican and voted for John McCain, and strongly supports Sarah Palin, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.

"...the most prominent Tea Party faction that offered concrete support to Brown -- in the form of money, manpower, and an endorsement -- was Tea Party Express. That's the group that's run by a team of well-connected California GOP political consultants, who have had a hand in numerous conservative and Republican causes over the years, including the 2003 recall of then-governor Gray Davis.

According to a Quinnipiac poll released today, 77 percent of those calling themselves part of the Tea Party movement voted for John McCain in 2008. 74 percent are Republicans, or independent voters leaning Republican. And 88 percent are white. Said polling director Peter Brown: "f the Tea Party were to run its own candidates for office, any votes its candidate received would to a very great extent be coming from the GOP column."

1. I wonder what % of TPers claim to have voted for Obama. Is it even measurable?

2. They are lying. I had one of them tell me he was an Independent
who voted for Obama. It was a plain old lie.
That's what they do....lie, so nothing new!

4. The 16% who were Democrats were probably PUMAs
I suspect they stayed at home last November. Is Perry Logan involved with the Tea Party?

3. I find it hard to believe that 12% are minorities. Except for the black guy
packing a gun, I can't remember seeing any minorities at all.

8. No doubt it's GOPers lying on polls to make the group look more credible.
As much racial hostility and ugly slurs that come out of the TPers, it's not exactly a comfortable place for people of color.

6. A Republican, by any other name, is still a republican
Teapartiers are in vogue now, but some go by other names - KKK, John Birchers, Paulites, etc.
