Republicans say Hell with the Tea Party and Side with Wall Street Banksters

For OpEdNews: E. Nelson - Writer

It is now only a matter of time before all the Tea Partiers realize they have been sold down the river by the Republican Party. On Friday, in what was one of the cruelest ironies of fate to befall the Republican party, it was revealed that the Republican Party had decided to stand against any Wall Street reform and side with the Wall Street Banksters and an announcement was made that the SEC had leveled massive fraud charges against Goldman Sachs, one of the taxpayer bailout recipients. Goldman's alleged scheme as described by the SEC was that they created risky mortgage-backed securities with the help of hedge fund manager John A. Paulson and then sold them as Triple-A rated mortgages to investors and at the same time bet against the stability of these mortgage-backed securities which resulted in billions of dollars of profits for Goldman Sach and about 1 billion dollars in losses for Goldman Sach investors. Hedge fund manager Paulson netted about $5.7 billion between 2007 and 2008 during much of the country's financial collapse.

These two almost simultaneous announcements occurred only days after both Republican minority leaders John Cornyn and Mitch McConnell were caught meeting in secret with 25 multi-billionaire Wall Street executives and hedge fund managers.

Later as if on cue, the strings of Republican Senator Mitch McConnell were pulled by his Wall Street puppet masters and produced a televised press conference warning about the dangers of regulating Wall Street. After that the Republican Party as a whole announced its intention to vote as a bloc to stop any reform of Wall Street currently being proposed. Even though much of the current legislation has been proposed and written by Republicans.

If even after all of this and everything that has occurred over the past few decades the Tea Partiers still believe the Republican Party has the back of the average hard working Americans and does not really work 27/7/365 days of the year on behalf of the fat cat bankers and hedge fund managers of Wall Street they are either delusional or live on a planet where the sky is not in fact blue.

1. Teabaggers/partiers/klansfolk or whatever they are called
will have no problem with Wall Street getting more bailouts. Teabaggers are right wing reactionaries who's main goal is to deprive the social welfare state(while collecting social security and medicare and farm subsidies) in any form for minorities, urban areas, and veterans, etc...
They are religious conservatives raised with the (ugly) calvinist belief that those with money have been blessed by God. For them, letting the banking mafia trickle down their wealth to the minions is how the system is supposed to work(since those with the ability to manipulate the system are considered superior because they have that ability). Also, the system for teabaggers works when white conservative men are in charge.

blind ideologues. They will go along with whatever the GOP does, just as they did with Reagan and Bush.
They will let their white conservative leaders rape the system then will turn around and scapegoat the minority population.

6. In terms of traditional European politics, they are conservative.
When parliamentary governments began to replace dictatorial crowns, there were two political camps,
Liberal and Conservatives.

Conservatives were the landowners, the monarchs.
Liberals where the merchant class, the explorers, the thorn in the side to the landowning establishment.
This is nothing new to what the tea parties are advocating for.

17. TEABAGGERS ARE NOT HOMOGENOUS =====>
"true" teabaggers are similar to libertarians looking for less government, and less teeth

"GOP" teabaggers are WEDGE ISSUE NRA folks who figure to get teabagger votes by pretending they agree on more than they really do

The GOP has no issue with SPENDING.... like TAX AND SPEND without the TAX.... which is how they "financed" their WAR.
They love to spend. AND AS POINTED OUT HERE...they got caught with the "Sacks of Gold-man" and had to choose their FUNDERS or their NEW BASE....

11. They are too stupid and hateful
They hate all Democrats, but especially the president, so much that the republican congressional leadership will get a pass on this. If Vitter's had to pay no price with the moral wing of the GOP, why should McConnell be expected to pay a price with the batshit crazy wing? all he's got to do is go out there and use the Chewbacca defense, and they will fall for it.

15. Oh, please
It is now only a matter of time before all the Tea Partiers realize they have been sold down the river by the Republican Party.

As Eugene Robinson points out today, the teabaggers are gun nuts, racists, Medicare users who want the government out of health care, and hate radio addicts. Which of those groups are going to leave the GOP?

16. They won't
learn a damned thing. They will dismiss this as lies from the lame stream media. Faux is already trying to spin it saying the timing is suspicious! Will Obama return the 900+K Goldman gave his campaign, etc? They're not going to be fooled by this media ploy. Beck was on this morning touting the polls that PROVE that "Tea Partiers are smarter than the average person". RIGHT! Most of these dumb fucks couldn't spell cat if you gave them the c and the a but then again, speeling is only impotent to the eleets like us!
