Task for GOP: how to blame Gulf Oil spill on Obama. Hey, it worked with the Deregulation Disaster.
The Corporate Lobbyist Party (with help from the M$M echo-chamber) has done a pretty good job convincing a surprising number of brain numb individuals that the current state of the economy is the fault of too much Government, rather than Republican deregulaion of the Financial Services industry (http://motherjones.com/politics/2008/05/foreclosure-phil">Commodity Futures Modernization Act - Phil Gramm) and Republicans fighting efforts to rein in Predatory Lenders (it was the government in the name of Fannie-Mae & Freddie Mac that created the housing bubble by buying up all those sub-prime loans - originated by the Predatory Lenders the Bush administration stopped 50 states Attorneys General from reining in Predatory Lenders' Partner in Crime How the Bush Administration Stopped the States From Stepping In to Help Consumers - WaPo

Leave it to Frank Luntz, mangler of meaning and mutilator of reality, to figure a way of saying the Gulf oil spill was caused by too much Government regulation and further, how the Corporate Lobbyist party will save the day by keeping the Government out of businesses business and placing unalloyed faith in the unfettered free market to make things right with the world.
