Officials aren't saying which militants, if any, Faisal Shahzad may have met in Pakistan, but focus is intensifying on how interlinked Pakistan militants groups may be. Pakistan and US officials differ in their assessments.http://www.csmonitor.com/

Robert Baer, former CIA field operative in the Middle East and the author of "See No Evil," says: "The notion that we are are in Afghanistan to make our country safer is complete bullshit."http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/23/three-former-top-cia-agen_n_266721.html

Lets hope that whom ever is profiting from this drama can move on.....

1. So do you agree with these protestors that the SUV-bomb in Times Square...
was a CIA operation?

Just wondering...

2. I realize that I am a cynic,
But that was one of the first things that went through my mind...It's not beyond the realm of possibility.

4. After 9/11, Palestinians and other Muslims said the attack was done by...
Israel. As proof, the stated that all Jews left the towers before the plane hit. Their proof was a complete fabrication, but the accusation had considerable traction. Now, it was not outside the realm of possibility, but...

It was far more likely that the simple answer is close to the truth. A man was recruited by extremists and, out of faith and brainwashing did something really stupid.

A sign carried by protesters is hardly anything like proof.

5. The trouble with that explanation is
The long history of US false flag operations. These operations are well-known, but don't seem to be taught in American schools; perhaps that is the reason for the scepticism of those who live outiside your shores.

I'm sure I can dig up a list of them; I am likely to have such a list or be able to collect one in short order.

Right off the top of my head, there's the Gulf of Tonkin Incident, Pearl Harbour, Operation Gladio, the stay-behinds after WWII, where known Nazis were recruited to spy on the new enemy, Russia, the overthrow of Mossadeq......and on and on.

As for the Jewish conspiracy theory of 9/11, there is a kernel of truth there, although the whole theory of the Jews behind it was wrong. Israel did know what was coming and tried to warn the US of the attack. It is true that Zim-Israeli Shipping Company did move out of the WTC one week prior to 9/11, relinquishing $50,000.00 in broken lease fees. The Israel government has a 45% share of the company, and it is possible that they were warned of the impending attack. However, every Jew and Jewish company did not stay out of the trade centres on 9/11. That is the impossible part of the theory.

And no, I don't rely on signs carried by protestors; at this point, suspecting the CIA is an almost automatic response.

3. Well the photo is interesting, though certainly not conclusive,
Here we have some of the most learned people on the subject, yet, we're still there.

Graham Fuller, former CIA station chief in Kabul, emphasizes: "Both wars have made the world much more dangerous for Americans and for any American presence overseas."

I need to get that DVD.

Thanks for posting.
