What if a historic trial happened and nobody could see it? (Courage Campaign / Equality on Trial)
We're thrilled to share this message with you from Academy Award-winner Marisa Tomei, who has generously devoted her time to help us kick off "Testimony: Equality on Trial" -- the most important campaign for full equality we have ever waged.

Today, we're launching Phase 1 of "Testimony" to bring the Prop 8 federal trial into the lives of Americans. We can only do that together. Please check out our brand new web site and bring the trial to life yourself:

What if a historic trial happened and nobody could see it?

Earlier this year, Americans were not allowed to watch Perry v. Schwarzenegger – the Proposition 8 federal trial – after the Prop 8 campaign appealed to the Supreme Court to block Judge Vaughn Walker's decision to televise the trial.

Through Testimony: Equality on Trial Americans will now be able to witness and participate in the most transformative trial in modern American history.

"Testimony" offers you the chance to tell the story of the trial in every city, county and community across America. Will you reenact for your community the extraordinary testimony that has forever changed the American landscape in the fight for equality? All you have to do is pick your favorite script, grab some friends and a video camera and go out and reenact the trial in public.

Join us. Reenact the most significant, poignant, outrageous or informative moments of the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial. And share your favorite reenactment with your friends and family.

Cleve Jones, the legendary activist who conceived of Testimony: Equality on Trial, created the AIDS Memorial Quilt and spearheaded 2009's March on Washington for full equality. Cleve also worked closely with Harvey Milk in the 1970's and served as a historical consultant to director Gus Van Sant for the film "Milk." He currently works for UNITE-HERE and serves as a Senior Advisor to the Courage Campaign.

1. But the trial in millions of information systems everyone sees.
Then throw a switch in people, and they all see it, shrug, it is not like it can be hidden.
