Pope fears Bush is antichrist
New Catholic Times, May 18, 2003

WASHINGTON DC -- According to freelance journalist Wayne Madsden, "George W Bush's blood lust, his repeated commitment to Christian beliefs and his constant references to 'evil doers,' in the eyes of many devout Catholic leaders, bear all the hallmarks of the one warned about in the Book of Revelations--the anti-Christ."

2. Give him a break
He's a billion years old and has Parkinson's. I'm just happy he eventually realized it.

4. If you've seen Omen 3, you'll agree
Even the anti-Christ character's name, Damien Thorn, tells you something. But seriously, I wish Catholic voters would read that article. The Pontiff is concerned because of Bush's actions and rhetoric, which certainly trump any imagined sin people may see in Kerry's pro-choice stand.

5. In Bush's defense
The anti-Christ is supposed to be a polyglot. Bush barely has one language at his disposal.

7. Did Bob Woodward allude to Bush speaking in tongues?
I haven't read the book yet, but the other day I read that he mentioned Bush at one or more times (I'm not sure which) speaking in an undistinguishable manner, which made me think of the proverbial "tongues."

This is spooky.

Anyone on this thread read the book and might clarify this?

11. What will be the response of the bishops who don't want
Kerry to recieve Communion? Call me crazy but I think if the Pope thinks Bush is the anti-christ, the bishops should respond.

13. OMG, this is huge
Does anyone know about this Wayne Madsden? Does he have any credibility in Vatican matters?

I know the Pope was against the war, but does he really ascribe Shrub's actions as those of the anti-christ?

We're talking christian religious war here if that's true.

And worse, Rove's not gonna like it.

14. I've been reading all day...seems like I just saw
Wayne Madsden's name someplace. 'fromthewilderness.com'?? maybe. not sure.

If this article is true, it's HUGE news. I'm not catholic, but I'm a believer in God. I've had my "religious" training. Not really attending church anymore, but I remember some stuff.

What 'was taught' said that the anti christ would come from the middle east or some place nearby. BUT, I think Bush is certainly a "player" in the whole endtimes scenario, if you believe in that stuff. He fits. His ways fit. He certainly DOES NOT follow the example of Christ. Matter of fact, ALL the "new" repubicans/neocons have a very weird "air" about them. They smile, but many of their eyes are dark, sinister. I get the creepiest feeling just watching them on the tube--like they have been taken over by aliens. lol

16. GW speaking in unknown language.
Yes, it's in Woodward's book and rumors are flying that Pres. aides have stated this as well. From the reports it seems that W doesn't know that he is doing this because he will speak gibberish for awhile then start talking his regular barely English.

Wait till the Pope hears that W authorized torture.

Are you saying that in Woodward's book he actually testifies to this thing about Bush talking gibberish???? Being disoriented etc??? If so, I'm going out to buy that book immediately because that gives me shivers big time!

Bush is either schizo or the Pope could be right. YIKES

...if it's true and the frigging pope thinks he's the anti-christ, then it seems an exorcism is in order.

20. Counterpunch
Masden sometimes writes for www.Counterpunch.org, a good radical rag.
Geo W. as anti-Christ? Wouldn't exactly shock me. If the Pope was younger and healthier, he would have been leading a much more effective opposition to unjust imperialism and the excesses of late-capitalism over the last few years.
If the Vicar of Christ knows this man is evil, why doesn't the other half of America?
