"'Looking back, I think I accomplished between 60 to 70 per cent
of what I could have achieved if I had been a a really dedicated person.'

"Some middling-achieving pro filled with regret that he didn't work harder? Actually, it was Jack Nicklaus, backing up the view of Lee Trevino, who reckoned that if the Golden Bear had been more dedicated to the game rather than his family, he'd have won 30 majors. Still, a record 18 with a loving family still intact? Given his life all over again, you just know Jack wouldn't have changed a thing."

Love that line: "....if I had been a really dedicated person...!

The gem, above, appeared in Derek Lawrenson's, "the world of golf" column, in today's UK Daily Mail. Jack appears not to be exactly your run-of-the-mill, high-flyer in business or government. The Clintons staying together all but broke the hearts of their Republican vilifiers; the cruellest thing they could have done to them.
