George Bush reveals biggest failure,"Not Privatizing Social Security"
Edited on Fri Oct-22-10 12:02 PM by Stuart G
Huffington Post,

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/22/george-w-bush-reveals-his_n_772209.html

Former President George W. Bush signaled on Thursday that he sees not reforming Social Security as his greatest failure from the eight years he served in the White House, the Chicago Tribune reports. In 2005, the president unsuccessfully tried to partially privatize Social Security.

The unpopular Republican leader made the suggestion while speaking at a trade conference in the Windy City, where he discussed his legacy and also offered a glimpse into what readers can expect from his forthcoming memoir, Decision Points.

In a way, I am very happy that this person is stepping up to talk again at this time

Not so appropriate for his party, to see his name up there, and good for us. This may, may energize us to get more people to vote against this idea and these people.
Moreover, the thought that giving wall street a huge windfall was more important, than say avoiding a war that cost a couple hundred thousand their lives, a needless war shows again, exactly what we are up against.

16. Hello! McFly! Is anyone there?
Yeah, if Bush would have privatized Social Security and the market collapsed the way it did a couple of years ago, we would have been in another Great Depression.

The fact that he regrets not privatizing Social Security after what just happened in the markets and how volatile they remain just shows how dense he really is.

6. Stupid in this usage is not enough. To make a statement
like this, at this time shows an arrogance beyond reality. This is a sensitive issue for many, and if I were with the pukes, I'd leave it alone.
Or be very carefull with it. So Georgie wants to get back in the game. Good, seeing his stupid face out there, a week before the election, will remind people who got us here.

My guess is Georgie has been told by many..."to shut the f**k up, and stay away from this election till afterwards
Well, no one is going to tell him what to do.
Good.

8. What's his greatest accomplishment?
"In terms of accomplishments, my biggest accomplishment is that I kept the country safe amidst a real danger."

Can you believe that? The worst attack ever on this country, caused by his administration's apparent failure to heed the warnings...and he thinks he gets an "A" on that front. He and his shadow President ought to be explaining their greatest accomplishments to a war crimes commission at the Haaq.

14. During the debates, the question was, "What mistakes have you made...
during your first term?"

There was a long pause and then, "I'm sure if you give me a couple of minutes I'll think of one."

Your dreams may yet come true under a Democratic Administration. You might hold your breath for a "brief pushback"...but your DREAM IS COMING...very soon...after the Mid-Terms...and beyond.

Tinkerbell will give you your last wish......IF FOLKS AREN'T VIGILANT, that is...

21. THAT is his "biggest failure"?
What about everything that he touched? He spent 8 years moving from disaster to disaster. Solely for some variety, he sometimes included catastrophe and fiasco.
