Wisconsin Legislators Move Desks Out of Capitol Locked Down By Governor
http://www.thenation.com/blog/158977/wisconsin-legislators-move-desks-out-capitol-locked-down-governor

...On Wednesday, a number of Democrats state Assembly members began meeting with the people they represent along the outside wall of the Capitol, beneath a banner that read: “Assembly Democrats Are Open for Business.”

“We are out here because our governor and the Department of Administration are ignoring a judge’s court order,” said Assembly minority leader Peter Barca, who was joined by state representatives Fred Clark, Nick Milroy and Cory Mason.

With them was former US Representative Dave Obey, a Democrat who began his political career as an Assembly member. Obey said that, on Wednesday, he was denied entry to the Capitol for the first time in his five decades of public service and active citizenship.

“I think the governor is a political bully and a political thug,” Obey said, who urged the governor to stop locking citizens—and in some cases legislators—out of the building and begin negotiating with the fourteen Democratic senators who fled to Illinois when it became evident that the governor and his cronies were not going to allow an honest debate on the union-busting bill.

1. So goes America......
I am pleasantly surprised that are still a few politicians working for the people. I wish one or more of them would organize a national movement and push for civil disobedience until "people before profits", becomes the law of the land.
Look at our gas prices skyrocketing because of speculators. OPEC has not raised the prices. History is beginning to repeat itself in shorter loops. There is no regulation to stop these greed mongers, so they wait for the next "opportunity."
Is this the America you want? Imagine, at this rate, the lives of our children and their children...

2. The newly found backbone of some Democratic policicians is most welcome
I want to see them all adopt FDR's stance on these thugs: let 'em hate us, let's kick their tails into proper shape and get things done for the people of this country.

5. I know what you mean
That's my worry as well. Our kids and grandkids will never live the same lifestyle as we are. That's not what we were promised as payment for going along with this charade of an economic system.
