Poll: FL. Gov. Rick Scott Would Lose Do-Over Election -- By 20 Points - TPM
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/03/poll-fl-gov-rick-scott-would-lose-do-over-election----by-20-points.php?ref=fpb

A http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_FL_032913.pdf">PPP poll of registered voters released today shows that in a hypothetical re-do of last year's gubernatorial election, Florida Gov. Rock Scott (R) would lose to Democrat Alex Sink by a nearly 20-point margin, 56%-37%. Scott won a squeaker of an election last year, edging out Sink by about one point.

But since taking office, Scott has pursued a number of controversial proposals, such as one that permits the state to randomly drug test many public employees. And last week, Scott signed a bill that effectively eliminates tenure for new teachers and ties future pay levels to performance.

As a result, the poll found that just 32% of voters aprove of Scott's job performance, compared to 55% who disapprove.

1. Well that's certainly helpful right now
And I'm sure John Kerry would win in a landslide over George W. Bush too.

Um, so?

2. Boo frickin'hoo.
Since there's no recall there they are stuck with pRick. If they have any sense they will toss out the legislature next election, but I wouldn't count on it.

4. OK that election was TOTALLY stolen
If there's one thing I've learned it's that Republicans only win by lying, cheating, and stealing.

7. Fl got what they deserved
sorry ... but it's true.
There are good people here - that's not in question - but there's a *lot more seriously stupid rednecks.
In the last 2 weeks I've seen 3 confederate battle flags flying from trucks, so I started counting stationary ones.
So far I've found 5 flying from houses (or in windows) in the immediate area.

Rick Scott's role in defrauding the govt out of billions was public knowledge yet people elected him anyways.
That's a very special kind of stupid.

11. You're not sorry, and it's not true.
NOBODY deserves this! And behind your "opinion" is a not so subtle comment about stupid people in Florida (past issue with that state?). Political machinations in Florida have been duping the people there for decades... your opinion of their intelligence is irrelevant.

13. nothing hidden about my opinion of stupid people
Like everyplace else, Fl has good and bad aspects.
The springs and the wildlife are absolutely incredible.
The amount of flat out stupid (and often racist) rednecks is also absolutely incredible.
The stupid here can get so bad that it *hurts.
(there's that word 'here' again .. it should give you a clue as to past or current issue)

You're wrong about me not being sorry that I feel this is the truth because I really *am.
I'm sorry for the non-stupid that have to live amongst the idiots.
I even feel bad, to an extent, for the stupid who are conned into voting against their own interests.
I'm sorry that I've seen the pattern of stupidity here so much that I have to conclude "they got what they deserved" in regards to Rick Scott.

And finally ...
"political machinations in Florida have been duping the people there for decades... your opinion of their intelligence is irrelevant"

so ... the people in Fl have been getting duped for decades (according to you) and my assessment that there seems to be a disproportionately high number of stupid people in Fl (ie: people who are easily duped) is *irrelevant ....

are you from Fl ?

8. Big Fucking Deal
What a stupid poll. Is this going to cause him to tone down his right-wing agenda? No. Can Floridians do anything to get him out of office before 2015? No. Will millions of likely Dem voters be purged from the rolls before next November? Yes.

I know! Let's sign a petition that we want Scott, LePage, Walker, Snyder, and Corbett to stop acting on behalf of ALEC! That will cure everything!

We have got to be the lamest, weakest, most pathetic major party in world history.

9. He can also be recalled in only nine months now. Let's see if the
people up there do what the polls indicate.

10. Fl doesn't have any method to recall him
as far as I know it's not in the Fl constitution - but there is a bill to make such a thing a possibility.
methinks it's unlikely to get past his desk

12. As usual, most chose to not see what is behind the curtain,
even when the curtain is pulled back, as it was before the election.
