The commencement address -- titled "Creating the future we imagine" -- will be at 3 p.m. May 7 in Macky Auditorium on the University of Colorado campus.
Stuart Lord, president of Naropa, said the school is honored to have Dean speak at the graduation.
"Howard Dean has played a pivotal role in the affairs of the nation, particularly his leadership on reforming health care," Lord said. "His story is inspiring, and he has a lot to offer our students. We can be assured that this will be no ordinary commencement address."
