Breaking the New Monopoly Capitalism and the 2012 Campaign
In another thread, Marmar posted a great link to a story by Robert Perry about the destructive greed that has permeated our system.

I have just posted a similar article that links the 2012 campaign strategy to the need to change the monopoly capitalism that threatens to destroy our economic system entirely.

Cornered: The New Monopoly Capitalism and the Economics of Destruction by Barry C. Lynn was a big source of inspiration for this article, but the question remains, is there a candidate out there who has the nerve to stand up to the machine and call for its dismantling?

Sadly, I have not seen one.

2. Feingold seems to be the one willing to try
Russ did have to wait until he was out of office to launch his new campaign aimed at reforming campaign finance www.progressivesunited.com.

Lawrence Lessig has been flying the flag long before the Supreme Court hammered another nail in the campaign process with their ruling on Citizens United. He has a site that has been targeting campaign finance reform for years now. www.fixcongressfirst.com But I can't imagine him ever running for office.

Someone will have to step up and be willing to catch the heat to get this thing started.
