Manufactured Crisis, Manufactured Crisis, Manufactured Crisis! |

Since the left really has no messaging machine, we the people need to repeat that phrase as much as possible, IMO.
This whole debt crisis is man-made. The whole position that we must cut x to get y is an artificial construct.

3. It seems like the billionaires are determined to find out. |

I think they're really trying to stress test us to our limits, just to see how far they can go. I think even they are surprised at how far they've gotten.

this makes aboslutely no sense
this is the problem, inflammatory and untrue statements like these drive viewpoints to extreme- making a reasonable decision even harder
I have said this before and i will say it again- the economic crisis wasnt just the "bankers" fault, it was the fault of millions of americans as well. Don't get me wrong- Bank's deserve a huge part of the blame with predatory lending and questionable deriviatives training, but we can't forget that average americans were taking lines of credit out that were absolutely rediculous.
Also, you can not have a healthy economy without a healthy banking center. Our economy and all advanced economies survive on credit. There is no other alternative besides the barter system- a system in which the poor stay poor and the rich stay rich.

engineering is state of the art. Consent can be manufactured easily with corporate media and political machinations. That is, even in the midst of massive disagreements, the appearance of consent for the process still lingers with an air of legitimacy.
There is no gray on a chessboard. The game is predefined. Here is the board you are allowed to play on. These are the only legal moves you can make. You get to choose if you will play as black or white.

5. The media's move from narratives to this game of black/white favors the conservative mind. |
|
Conservatives like T/F tests, while Liberals tend to prefer essay questions.
I really think that the national media's move away from narratives into black/white thinking has the added side effect of getting us all to think in controllable terms that favor conservative thinking.

Just like the stories fabricated about bank bailouts, multilateral trade agreements, public schools, wars, etc., etc.
