"The Most Incredible Thing Fox News Has Ever Done"
By James Fallows

http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2011/07/the-most-incredible-thing-fox-news-has-ever-done/242037/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9gOSsvLIO4&feature=player_embedded">Watch, if you can stand to. They roll out some expert, Bob Dilenschneider, to say how hacking is a big problem. It's happened at the Pentagon. It's happened at Citibank. It's happened at the News of the World. When are we going to get serious about it?

HEY, WAIT A MINUTE!!! Citibank and the Pentagon were the hackees -- the objects of hacking, by criminals or spies. Murdoch's News of the World was the hacker -- the perpetrator, the criminal-or-spy counterpart.

I submit that this could not happen at any other news organization. Rather, it could not happen at a news organization. It happened at the agitprop operation known as Fox News...

2. True but...
As long as their clueless, brain dead followers refuse to check the "facts" out, and buy all the BS they spread, they can get away with anything! It is going to be a shame when the whole organization goes down and their loyal followers wonder around in in a daze trying to figure out what to do now that their moron leaders are gone!

3. I saw that - it was such a pathetic joke -
these jerks are running around - dismayed that folks are "piling on" 'cause Murdoch apologized and all - and they are so "over it"

bleh....

4. What does one expect from an organization that got its start
pimping two-headed, cow-mutilating alien baby stories and weekly Elvis sightings. When Rupert took over NewCorpse and let go of the Enquirer, he took his crack(ed) team of fiction writers with him. It's no secret. He can and has peddled bigger bullshit than ever since the pictures started moving.

I don't believe a single thing will happen to him on this side of the Atlantic. I hope to high heaven above for a miracle that brings the Bullshit Wurlitzer known as NewCorpse down. I hope, but I don't expect it.

9. It's the usual equivalency fallacy.
Everybody's doing it. We are no worse than what the rest of the ______ are doing.

11. According to this thread, they're hiring the same law firm; which defended Oliver North.
Back in the 80s, the corporate media, projected North as the hero/victim "just following orders" and willing to fall on his sword for his commander in chief.

It seems in this segment FOX is already using their brain washing propaganda to project their corporate ownership and siblings as the victim.

I'm sure they would much rather keep the focus on some tree in the forest ie: murder trial, instead of their corruptive, dysfunctional and malignant business plan of monopolizing information to dumb down the people for easier manipulation purposes and the means to which they will go to obtain those ends.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-07-17/murdoch-struggles-to-control-news-corp-.html

With the FBI in the U.S. beginning a preliminary probe of the company, News Corp. has hired criminal defense lawyer Brendan V. Sullivan Jr. of the Washington law firm Williams & Connolly LLP, according to a person familiar with the situation. Sullivan’s clients have included former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, ex-New York Stock Exchange Chairman Richard Grasso and Reagan White House aide Oliver North. Sullivan didn’t return a phone and e-mail messages from Bloomberg News seeking comment.

Thanks for the thread, Towlie.

13. Probably lengthened his name from Dilweed
And it worked, since he is able to confuse FOX viewers.

On second thought, FOX viewers also get confused by 'dry' ice, and 'jumbo' shrimp.
