Tea Party Republicans Won’t Compromise On Debt Ceiling, Fruit Loops
http://mildlyrelevantthoughts.com/2011/07/tea-party-republicans-wont-compromise-on-debt-ceiling-fruit-loops/
Ever since this mind-bogglingly frustrating debate began on whether or not to raise the debt ceiling, certain politicians of the Tea Party variety have repeated the mantra “President Obama’s obsession with taxes” more times than a Buddhist hermit chants “om mani padme hum.” In their eyes, they were elected while chanting the “taxes are evil!” mantra, so they must adhere to that mantra at any cost. Because apparently when you’re elected, you only represent the constituency of people who actually cast a ballot in your favor and have absolutely no obligation to act in the best interest of your constituency as a whole! But I digress (an unfortunately common theme ’round these parts!)…
