2. For being in the midst of a Democratic President's Push
of a GOP economic agenda, the only progressive voices I recognize are Rep Donna Edwards (D-Md.) and Rep Raul Grijalva (D- Ariz). Having worked on Edwards' campaign in Md, I'm guessing she's not on board with the economic agenda. I haven't heard from Feinstein or Durbin but I have seen their kowtow's before so I suspect that they will follow the President.

I just heard Sanders discuss this issue on Thom Hartman on July 22 and though not seeing the actual bill having heard it reviewed by the Gang of Six - I believe what Sanders says that what Obama may propose/back is worse than the Gang of Six and that these issues are on the table and would directly impact the middle class and the country: Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Mortgage Interest Tax Deduction (this is where the revenue generation comes in)....I do not believe that these are rumors but in fact issues in the works and I do believe that Senator Sanders' said, there is no greater time than now for US citizens to become engaged in the political process...

But back to the Sunday Talk Show - as I see it, the voices to accurately reflect the interests of We the People will be muzzled....
