Boehner's Market Signals? Did August 2nd Just Become Tomorrow?
Instead of August 2nd being the debt default deadline, Boehner's tactics and now his statement to his own troops have created market expectations that will either be met -- or be disappointed, possibly creating a real sell-off in American treasuries.

Perhaps he should have thought about that before he stormed off. In John Boehner's verbal duel with Obama yesterday, he said that he had taken the same oath of office as the President and had the same responsibilities as the President. But the powder keg he is flirting with -- and I believe it is all misguided theater designed to keep the GOP on the evening, morning and mid-day news -- could blow up because his management of his own caucus seems amateurish and weak.

1. The whole thing was a farce intended to stampede a cut in SS/Med for Wall St. A farce all around.

Time to restructure American politics and the economy. Start by getting rid of EVERYBODY (well, just about) now in national elected office and at the head of major banks and multinational corporations. If you're too big to fail, you're gone.

3. We really do need to start with a clean slate. They are way too many incompetents and
greedy asses in too many positions of power and wealth dominance.

2. I'm starting to think some will sell-off American treasuries, this country
looks/acts soooo unstable. I just hope when the SH** hits the fan it ALL falls on the republicans. I hope the dems do not lose the messaging battle. I think Obama has finally gotten it that these fools are not interested in compromise or brokering a deal. They are anarchists and want to destroy this country.

4. Too bad that Obama took the extreme other side in negotiating his Deal. Some people actually
took the words of the President of the United States seriously.

He's already done his bit to lose the messaging battle for the Dems. More than enough for one term.

6. You haven't been paying much attention to messaging have you?
The Democrats have been getting absolutely ROLLED by the GOP for 30+ years on message....the REALLY sad thing though is not only are the thugs beating the pants off of our side on messaging, they also wield power like a cudgel and do not care who is in the way when they swing it.

5. It's all PR from now on. This "call for a plan by 2 PM" was timed by Boehner

to put him in front on the message. Now the President needs to come back fast. There will be no deal since Boehner and the teabaggers want default to blame it on the President.
