NASA climatologist, says that if those tar sands are fully exploited it's "essentially game over for
the climate.... So Tim DeChristopher posed as a bidder and won 14 parcels of land at an oil-and-gas lease auction. He received 24 months in prison... When that Republican hooligan,James O'Keefe, acted as a phone repair man in order to gain access to a Senators phone lines, how much prison time did he get? If I call correctly-NONE

"Tim DeChristopher, sentenced yesterday to 24 months in prison for a creative act of resistance straight out of the Monkey Wrench Gang. He didn't damage anything except the pride of the Bureau of Land Management, when he posed as a bidder and won 14 parcels of land at an oil-and-gas lease auction. They were gorgeous pieces of land that he protected -- but far more, he was acting on behalf of every landscape left on the planet.

And it's time for you to take the same kind of responsibility. In a few weeks, those of us at tarsandsaction.org will be gathering in Washington DC for two weeks of civil disobedience against the proposed Keystone Pipeline, that will carry oil from the tar sands of Alberta down to the Gulf of Mexico. Jim Hansen, the NASA climatologist, says that if those tar sands are fully exploited it's "essentially game over for the climate." If those words don't inspire you to act, nothing will -- and so far more than a thousand have signed on, meaning this will be the largest civil disobedience action in the history of the country's climate movement."http://www.alternet.org/environment/151804/tim_dechristopher_is_going_to_jail%2C_now_it%27s_our_turn

4. START HIS PETITION FOR A PRESIDENTIAL PARDON NOW!
This is a case of injustice. And an act of heroism for the country. The TPARTY NATION is the real enemy of the US of AMERICA. Not since the confederacy has a parallel govt threatened the US constitution. ALEC is setting the legislative agenda across the country. The Murdogs support the TPARTY NATION PATRIOTS. KOCHROACHES are just plain greedy and arrogant. Another serious threat to our nation, is the America FREE TRADE ZONES. In states like UTah, it looks like there is a move afoot to allow foreign investments to develop warehouses, business on AMErican solid and import their own workers competing with US manufacturing. And because they are duty free, they could also be considered sovereign territories and thus free from US laws and taxation. Can anyone shed some light on this?? Who is responsible for this type of development??

5. Sadly most Americans are more concerned with making money than they are

With losing their lives. That's why dying for your country ( corporate profits) is considered a noble sacrifice, but sacrificing your cash for your country is considered unreasonable. The only thing sacred anymore is profits; no living thing has intrinsic worth.

I am glad people like Mr. DeChristopher are out there. All most people seem to care about are new cars, 401k returns and lifestyle lifts. Every one an unwitting enabler of the destruction of our home.
