How do we blame Bush for our current financial and economic situation?
By citing facts.

Bush inherited a "balanced" budget but a $5.62 trillion debt. A budget surplus of about $500 billion was anticitpated for 2010. Bush erased the surplus and double the debt to $12 trillion. How? with the tax cut for the top 2% and the War on Iraq. Without those even his chief economic advisor, Greg Mankiw, admits that he would have left office with a balance budget. That being said the War on Iraq was (not) paid for by supplementary spending bills so it was never actually on the budget, it just added to the debt. The top level tax cuts once again proved that conservative "beliefs" are just that - not fact. Add in the disasterous Med D entitlement for pharmacies and the Republican directive for federal lending agencies to increase funding into the predatory lending market (also known as "sub prime") and you have a recipe for disaster. Those are facts. That is how.

1. Also, GOP blocked every SIGNIFICANT Dem policy the last 3yrs, forcing the continuation of Bush's
economic policies.

Remember when TeaPartiers PRETENDED they were angry at Bush, too? Yeah sure...that's why they've been acting as the GOP's front line of defense so Bush's policies are STILL running this nation's economy.

Obama and the Dems have not been making this argument, probably because they also know it shines the spotlight on their weakness and ineffectiveness in countering the GOP machine.

2. Those ARE the facts but sadly, Republicans do not deal in facts.
"We create our OWN reality" remember?

To be a Republican is to be devoid of any facts.
Except for one...

"It's all the black dudes fault"

That is the one fact they hold dear.

3. Well duh?
We would now be debt free and king-of-the-hill still without the Bush wars and the Bush tax giveaways. So much for wingnut patriotism. Instead, 2nd and 3rd world countries tell us to screw off and our media whines about how "Geithner and Bernanke" have few options to deal with the great recession.
